Turquoise Dreams

I've had a pretty serious obsession with Native American turquoise jewelry since high school. The colors, the rawness of the stones, and the nature-inspired shapes really speak to me. Not to mention the prevalence of the jewelry on some of my favorite musicians from the 60s and 70s; from Jimi Hendrix to Cher. 

The squash blossom necklace has always been on my wish list, but with a price tag of 1k+ for an authentic one, it has never made its way into my collection. I don't normally go for reproductions of stone jewelry as they usually look cheap, when I saw this one from Zara I knew I had to give it a go. 

The verdict? It's a keeper! My turquoise cravings are satisfied for now ..
